Intellectual Disabilities Conference 2019

Thu، 14 Mar - 14 Mar 2019

09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Place: King Salman Center for Disability Research

General Overview:

Welcome to the Intellectual Disabilities Conference 2019. According to the World Health Organization Intellectual Disabilities means a significantly reduced ability to understand new or complex information and to learn and apply new skills (impaired intelligence). This results in a reduced ability to cope independently (impaired social functioning), and begins before adulthood, with a lasting effect on development.

Disability depends not only on a child’s health conditions or impairments but also and crucially on the extent to which environmental factors support the child’s full participation and inclusion in society.

The Intellectual Disabilities Conference will bring experts in the field of Mental Health together to discuss and share best practice approaches for the treatment and management of individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.

At this full day conference, deligates will learn from experienced professionals from the USA, UK and KSA on different approaches and strategies that are used for a variety of Intellectual Disabilities.

On the behalf of Maharat Learning Center and King Faisal specialist Hospital and Research Center, Center for Autism Research we strongly recommend your participation in this important conference.
