General Description:


This rehabilitation is known by different names, one of them is the multi-sensory environment which is a new rehabilitation that occurs inside a room which is precisely designed to provide disabled children with rich sensual and varied experiences. At the same time, it stimulates a wide range of senses. The most important characteristic is that it doesn’t rely on rules but provides an opportunity for the child to explore and gain different sensory experiences. Many studies and researches have proven that there are positive and clear effects.

Workshop Overview:
It is a one day workshop that provides participants information on how to use multi-sensory environment with ASD children. The workshop will familiarize the trainees with:
  • Overview and history of snoezelen.
  • Used equipment and tools.
  • Using the rooms and facilities.
  • Planning sessions and interventions using multi-sensory environment rooms.

Introduction, history and philosophy of Snoezele.
Definition: The psychological background.
Colors and Senses.
Devices and equipment.
