Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)

Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)

Program Description

The Early Start Denver Model «ESDM» is an evidence-based intervention specifically developed for very young children with autism, ages 12 to 48 months. ESDM includes a reference list for determining child skills and appropriate goals, and ESDM intervention can be delivered through a group treatment program or individual therapy sessions in either a clinic setting or the child’s home. ESDM intervention is based on playing and social routines to promote child development in all areas as well as reducing the symptoms of autism.

CFAR has translated the ESDM textbook into Arabic language to be published soon, and adapted it to the Arabic environment. Moreover, CFAR has provided, in cooperation with UC DAVIS Mind Institute in USA, training to 6 specialists who are now certified ESDM therapists.

Until now, CFAR has provided more than 3500 hours of early intervention sessions to ASD children. This has made CFAR the only ESDM certified autism center in the Middle East.
